US Army Fitness Test (AFT)

Prepare for the U.S. Army Fitness Test (AFT) with a comprehensive, tailored training plan. The AFT, replacing the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) on June 1, 2025, is designed to enhance readiness, reduce injury risk, and promote lifelong fitness through the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) initiative.

The test includes five events:

  • 3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL): Lift your maximum weight three times using a 60-pound hex bar
  • Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP): Perform as many push-ups as possible in two minutes with proper arm extension
  • Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC): Complete a sequence of sprints, drags, and carries over a set distance
  • Plank (PLK): Hold a standard plank position for the required duration
  • Two-Mile Run (2MR): Run two miles as quickly as possible

Standards for 21 combat-related specialties are now gender-neutral and age-normed, while general (non-combat) standards remain age and gender-specific.

With personalized guidance, you’ll receive a training plan tailored to your goals and abilities, supported by proven fitness strategies to help you perform safely and efficiently on every event.
